SpaceStation Keeps Things Neat

Bluelounge’s SpaceStation is a nifty little organizer for those with laptops. Rest it on its rubber pad and it will ergonomically raise the keyboard 5mm while allowing a cool flow of air. Cords will roll up into any of the parts of the case. Use the front for an iPod, the back for the laptop or camera, and the side for a scanner. We don’t want to forget the handy rail and page holder. Monty the Tengu Review

Monty the Tengu Creator Crispin Jones was kind enough to send us a Tengu, knowing that no one can ever have enough friends, even if they are electronic ones. We nicknamed ours Monty, and from the time we plugged him into the USB port, he was instantly on, albeit asleep. No software is needed to get him to do his thing. We have a full review and video of our 2 3/4 x 1 3/4 x 1/2-inch buddy awake after the jump.

Albums Proliferate In USB Flash Drive

Bedlam in Goliath Flash Drive Mars Volta’s latest album, “The Bedlam in Goliath,” was released last month in a USB drive that included extras for $29.98. They have already sold out. We have mentioned the practice before and it seems to be spreading in popularity. Barenaked Ladies released Barenaked on a Stick in 2005 and since then other artists, such as JLo, have followed suit.

All Access, which put out drives by Ringo Starr and Matchbox Twenty, has gotten together with EMI, Warner Music Group and Universal Music to make USB bracelets. These have previously been sold at concerts from such musicians as Willie Nelson and the Black Crowes. If you saw the last Grammys, you might have noticed that Ringo wore one of his own. We call that free advertising at its finest.

Mouse/Gamepad Helps You Play at Work

Evergreen Mouse/Gamepad Evergreen has come up with a mouse that also doubles as a gamepad. At the minute size of 50 × 85 × 23mm and a weight 67g, it features 1600 dpi, is compatible with Windows 2000/XP/Vista. Made by the Taiwanese company Giant for 3,499 Yen (~$32.59,) plug it into your USB port and your boss will never be the wiser. If you get caught, offer to lend it to her/him. That should be worth at least a longer lunch hour.

EasyDica Camera Makes Photography Simple Again…Perhaps too Simple?

We loooooove our digital camera, don’t get us wrong. But all the myriad settings, buttons, menus and whatnot can be a bit much sometimes. That’s why we appreciate the concept of the EasyDica camera from Yanko. It’s ultra-tiny, ultra-thin, has no settings or even an LCD screen. Just a viewfinder and one sole button to snap your masterpiece. Not much information is available about it, but apparently, the EasyDica recharges (and presumably uploads photos) via its USB port. Strangely, there’s no info on pricing or availability, but we’re very intrigued…
